It is the combined document prepared by the Linear Collider R&D Working Group (LCRD) and the University Consortium for the Linear Collider (UCLC) as part of the process of generating proposals to the Department of Energy and National Science Foundation. The organization and selection of the projects is done with the participation and guidance of the ILC GDE (Global Design Effort).

January 18, 2006 release of

A University Program of Accelerator and Detector Research for the International Linear Collider (vol. IV)

This version is the final draft and was posted ~23:00. The document is 881 pages long.

Note the small corrections and additions to be made to the printed version contained in a March 13, 2006 addendum (1.0 MB, 45 pages):
  • Documents submitted from projects 2.47, 2.48, and 2.52 are progress reports. I had mistakenly described them as new proposals in the January 18 release of A University Program....
  • Project 2.45 (included in the addendum) was submitted after the January 18 release of A University Program.... It is included in the addendum.
  • Project 6.9 has been modified slightly; the revised version is included in the addendum.
  • Project 6.19 has submitted supplemental material that has been included in the addendum. The proponents ask that the reviewers include this material in their evaluation of the project.
  • Project 6.21 was mistakenly placed in the vertex detector section as project 4.3 in the January 18 release of A University Program.... It is included in the addendum.
  • A revised author list (updated to include the new participants in 2.45) is included in the addendum.
  • Revised participation tables (found in the appendix in the January 18 release) are included in the addendum.
