Below is an entire Kid Pix drawing, saved to disk as Swamp_kid_pix, inserted directly into this page after being created. (I used the Image... item in the Insert menu to do this.) Notice that the graphics file from Kid Pix, in PICT format, was translated into a new GIF (Graphics Interchange Format) file called swamp_kid_pix.gif. It is the GIF file which is displayed.
